It's time to change your name

God announces himself as El Shaddai in Genesis 17 before changing Abram's name to Abraham and Sarai's name to Sarah. El Shaddai means God Almighty or God ALL powerful.

This made me think, the one who is all powerful has the power/ability to change your name.

He can change your name from poor to rich.

From ashamed to confident.

From heartbroken to rejoicing.

From confused to wise.

From diseased to healthy.

From cancer patient to cancer survivor.

From depressed to joyful.

From defeated to VICTORIOUS!!!

The truth is only the creator of an item has the ability to name it!

It is time to embrace who God says you are.

People will ALWAYS find a name for you. Ugly, stupid, angry, too fat, lazy, not good enough....

Who does God say you are? He says your name is blessed, healed, the righteousness of God, made anew, precious, fearfully made, redeemed, and victorious!

Don't be afraid to call yourself by a new name. If you don't someone else will.

Psalm 139:13-16 -For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them.
