Are you laughing at God?

Have you ever had an idea, dream, or God-given vision, and thought the following statements?

"Yeah Right!”

"Surely something like this couldn't happen to little a person like me."

""That's impossible."

"Just wishful thinking"

I can definitely say that I have been in that situation plenty of times.

How many times have you thought to yourself, "I can't get that job", "That dream is too big" or "I can't be healed"?

Apparently, Sarah thought the same thing.

In Genesis, we see that God tells Abraham (Sarah's husband) that she will soon be pregnant. No big deal....right? Wrong, Sarah is ninety years old!

Here's how Sarah reacted to the news...

Genesis 18:10-14- Then the LORD said, "I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son." Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, which was behind him.Abraham and Sarah were already old and well advanced in years, and Sarah was past the age of childbearing. So Sarah laughed to herself as she thought, "After I am worn out and my master is old, will I now have this pleasure?"Then the LORD said to Abraham, "Why did Sarah laugh and say, 'Will I really have a child, now that I am old?' Is anything too hard for the Lord? I will return to you at the appointed time next year and Sarah will have a son.

I am sure many of us can relate to Sarah's reaction. It would take a miracle for a woman of her age to have children. However, God is in the business of making the impossible, POSSIBLE.

After all, he created the stars, the moon, the universe. Clearly, "Is ANYTHING too hard for the Lord?”

It turns out that Sarah does get pregnant, just as the Lord has said.

The impossible, highly unlikely, "yeah right situation" came true.

Genesis 21:1-3-Now the LORD was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did for Sarah what he had promised.Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised him.Abraham gave the name Isaac to the son Sarah bore him.

Remember the Lord WILL do what he has promised you. He can not lie!! So if He has promised you something, believe that it will happen. It reminds me of an old song by Detrick Hadden called, "He's Able".

My friends...Have FAITH!

Never laugh or deny God's ability to move in your situation. Believe the impossible for you and your family.

Yes, your children can be healed!

Yes, you can get a job!

Yes, your marriage can be restored!

Yes, your husband will return from this deployment!

Yes, you can get through this seemingly impossible situation!

Have faith, believe, and refuse to be a doubter of God's power! You are victorious!

Numbers 23:19- God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?
