Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.” Mark 5:20-21
There she is again. Seeking help and freedom from her pain. Wondering can this "Jesus", the one who has healed others, touch her.
Who can fix her?
She is broken.
She is confused.
She is hurting.
And THEN there was Jesus...
Discarded, unwanted, pained, drained, bleeding out from the inside out
Utterly heartbroken
Known for her issue and not her value
And THEN there was Jesus...
"And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped." Luke 8:43-44
Immediately...STOPPED!
Twelve years of pain and torment ended in just a moment.
Yet, we see her initial response is not one of victory, it is one of pain, shame, and defeat!
"Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at his feet" Luke 8:47
Fear took over her at that moment! This woman was an outcast. Even though the greatest miracle had just happened to her, she was terrified. She was ashamed. She wanted to hide. Yet Jesus responds the way only love could...
Then he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace.”-Luke 8:48
Did you catch that she was ALREADY HEALED here? Her physical healing had already been provided. Jesus was looking to provide more than her physical healing. He wanted her to have peace.
Dear friends,
What is your issue?
Is it the pain of comparison? The stings of betrayal? Hopelessness? Defeat? Past abuse? Illness?
God wants to heal you from the inside out today!
He wants you to go in peace, knowing that if He healed you once...He can do it again.
He wants you to go in peace, knowing that He has not come to condemn you.
He wants you to go in peace, knowing that He wants you to live a life full of health and peace.
He wants YOU to go in peace, KNOWING that He has great plans for you and your life.
And now, the woman with issues can now be the woman of peace. The woman of hope. The woman of prayer. The woman who is known for her faith.
I encourage you to reach out to Jesus. His desire is to heal you from the inside out! An entire whole healing, to where your very name must change. No longer will you be called by your issue, but for your value. All YOU have to do is accept your new name, and go in peace! You may have been broken for a season but you are not unrepairable. God is STILL in the healing business. He is STILL restoring lives. He is STILL making things new. There is victory is knowing the ONLY one who can heal your body and restore your soul instantly!
Receiving this truth about who God is will be your GREATEST victory! I am believing for great things for you. May you no longer be known by your issue but by your testimony of all that God has done.
